Film Speak January 10, 2015
Many thanks to the late and much missed Bill Miller (Burnmill Productions) for his invitation to Mark and Linda Jordan to appear on an episode of FilmSpeak, an independent talk show out of Dayton, Ohio which showcased local indie films, filmmaking, actors and pop culture. The three of them several of Mark's works, when and how he began writing, and the genesis for “Last at Bat” .
Bill’s unique format provided his guests the opportunity to discuss their current and upcoming projects, (oftentimes securing a ‘scoop’), followed by a discussion of a pre-selected classic motion picture. This particular show featured Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest”, a favorite of Mr. Miller’s, and one with which both Mark and Linda were quite familiar, allowing for a lively exchange of thoughts and insights.
The taping took place on January 10th, and was broadcast as Episode 15 in the program's second season. Bill was as knowledgeable about movies as Mark is about baseball--woe to he who tried to stump either one of them in their particular fields of expertise, and was a charming, gracious and engaging host. Many thanks also to his to his crew, Rusty Pietrzak in particular, for their hospitality, courtesy and professionalism.
Bill's work lives on via YouTube, and we encourage to take a look at the films left behind by a creative gone too soon.
